Eggnog (not low fat)
6 eggs, separated
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chilled whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3 cups ginger ale
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
Beat egg whites with salt until stiff but not dry. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar.
Beat whipping cream until stiff.
Beat egg yolks until thick and light. Add remaining sugar and milk, continue to beat until light and fluffy. Stir in ginger ale and blend well. Fold the egg white mixture and the whipped cream into the egg yolk mixture.
Pour into a punch bowl and sprinkle with nutmeg.
