ok I have no measurements
I just watched my friend mix everything & pour into a cast iron skillet

1st take a 1/2 of a stick of butter put it in the skillet
put skillet in oven at 400
we put the skillet in while the oven was preheating to start melting the butter

while the butter is melting mix these ingredients

about a heavy 2 cups of corn meal


about a heavy 1 cup of flour


1 egg

we had a quart of buttermilk - use about 1/2 of that

put corn meal, flour, egg & buttermilk in a bowl
mix it all together - she added a very little bit of water to make it easy to mix
the consistancy was almost like biscut mix - not quite as thick - get out all the lumps

once the butter melts pour most of it in the bowl --- leaving a little in the skillet
before you pour it in the bow -- swish it around so it gets on the edges of the pan

mix the butter thru the corn meal
pour the mix in the skillet at bake at 400 for about 35 mins or until good & golden on top
