Laurie asked me what Scones were. Here is the recipe. When I was in the U.S. I ate biscuits and these tasted the same.
Scones.
3 cups of flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of butter.
Milk to make a soft dough
You can add cheese, dates, sultanas or other dried fruit.
Heat the oven to 215celsius or (425 F)
Sift dry ingredients and rub in the butter. Add enough milk to make a soft doug. Knead lightly on a floured board and roll until about 2 inches thick. Cut into squares or fancy circles and bake on a cold oven tray for 10 mins.
A Devonshire tea is scones with jam and whipped cream.... yummy when hot.

Chris and her friend Maureen ate all my biscuits. LOL!
If I ever visit NewZealand I will eat all of Chris' biscuits (cause they are really cookies.) :P
Thanks for posting this Chris! I'm going to make some and eat it with my Gum Boot Tea.
