    Default Crockpot Surprise

Is what I signed up to bring to our potluck luncheon this week! Guess what, it's going to be a surprise what I make and bring if I don't get some ideas!

No potatoes and no mac & cheese, I saw those and someone else bringing.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated, please!

I have a recipe somewhere for crockpot enchiladas if you like Mexican. You fry up the meat with taco seasoning and then layer beans, meat, tortillas, cheese, etc in your crock pot. I can look for it, if you like.

I'd do something simple like meatballs. My mom makes a sauce with grape jelly and chili sauce that is surprisingly good.

Ya, meatballs and wienes in the crock pot are great! My neighbor does the grape jelly version and it really does taste great!

My favorite crockpotter is Chicken Divan, but you can leave out the chicken and make a broccoli casserole.

Steam a bunch of broccoli....put it in the crock. Mix 1 can of cream of broccoli soup with about 3/4 can of milk.....pour that over broccoli. Layer 2 cups cheddar cheese over top. Top it all off with 3 or 4 TBS of butter melted, mixed with bread crumbs. Cook on high for 4 hours.

    OMG so good!

I know this is late- but I do the chili sauce/grape jelly for meatballs and it is really good! As a matter of fact, it's on the menu for tomorrow night.

What did you end up making?

The seniors' dances to which I go on Sunday nights has a 1/2 hr. potluck dinner break midway through.

Usually I just bring some Paisley Farms 4 bean salad but I found a package of fairly cheap Bratwurst at Sam's Club so bought that and then some KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. Made thin slices of the bratwurst, covered those with the BBQ sauce, and slow cooked in the crockpot.

    Got a number of compliments.
