I know exactly how you feel. It took me about a month before I could even bring myself to posting it on here when Jo died.Originally Posted by dragona

I am so sorry that you and Vito lost the "good fight" with that terrible disease.
Rest in Peace Vito, you did such a good job hanging in there so very long. :'(

Thank you all :'( :'( :'( I am just so absolutely devastated I cannot think straight. I just don't know why it happened. He appeared to be getting better, and the on Saturday evening he didn't want to eat but was still drinking. On Sunday he started to vomit white foam, didn't eat but drank a little. The vomiting continued throughout the day a bit, and a couple of times in the night. My own vet said not to worry too much as he was drinking. Monday morning I had an appt at uni hospital for a check up -vet did urine test and bloods -said he had bacteria and blood in his urine, bloods ok, but he was dehydrated, not urgent but to my own vet on Tuesday am for fluid drip and antibiotics. I brought him home Tuesday 6pm and he was very lethargic. He slept and did not vomit but he was responsive. A few hours later he got up and moved to the back door, lay down and vomited brown liquid. Five minutes later he opened his bowels- it was very thick and black - and bladder, I cradled him in my arms and he died
