Even when time had turned your muzzle gray, and made your hips a bit stiff, and your eyes a little less bright....and when the tumors were growing and swelling all over your body, your ears remained as beautiful and silky soft as when you were a puppy. I'm missing you today Dakota. For the last twelve Easters I have said the same words to you..."hello my chocolate easter bunny. I will eat your ears first!" and then I would kiss your ears for as long as you would let me. Those gorgeous, special ears were the last thing that I touched when I left you for the last time.
Lots of love Dakota,
from your mom. :-*
((((hugs)))) You are so right about those silky ears. Hold those memories close.

ohhh...how sweet. I can just imagine Dakotas eyes lighting up when you said that."hello my chocolate easter bunny. I will eat your ears first!"
Beautiful tribute!!
What a sweet chocolate bunny you had. I am just reading this - tears streaming 'cause I have my own chocolate bunny and I just adore her and never want to lose her. I know how special Dakota was to you. (((hugs)))
