My Dad's darling airhead, oops I mean airdale was euthanized this morning.
Ben was just about 14 - in fact today might be his birthday, a very healthy age for an airdale and had faced cruciate injuries, liver disease and all kinds of health issues but outlived both of the other family dogs his age by quite a few years.
He was a delightful dog - goofy as a puppy -kind and gentle as a mature adult ... tolerant of all the foster beasts and babies that I dumped on him
He'll be a missed part of our family
