    Default Yukon Memorial Tree

On February 1st we lost our wonderful big headed yellow lab, Yukon - I've cried every day since then...

Some of our friends decided to plant a tree in our yard to honor and remember Yukon - so this weekend we had a bit of a bbq and party to celebrate Yukon's life and plant the tree.* We're lucky we have such great friends that understand how important our boys are to us.

    <br />Ellis (brown) &amp; Yukon (yellow) - Sadly, we helped Ellis &quot;move along&quot; on Feb 22, 2007 at age 15 1/2 - and Yukon died suddenly on Feb 1st, 2006 - 4 days before his 11th birthday.&nbsp; We are devestated.

What a thoughtful thing for them to do for you, your wife and Yukon. Ellis looks like he appreciates it too. Can you give us a close up of the memorial plaque there? It looks really nice itself.

we did something similar....friends of ours had a blac lab that I use to dog sit and he would even go on patrol with me(the lived in the park where i was a park ranger) Murphy's favorite game was to chase apples and bring them back to you....eventually eating them...this past year Murphy crossed the rainbow bridge...so we planted an apple tree in our front yard...as did they...

What a wonderful memorial you have to Yukon. That was such a thoughtful idea your friends had to plant a tree. What better way to celebrate his life!

    Run free, sweet boy.

WOW! What a wonderful thing to do! It's amazing how much of an important role our animals play in our lives. I thought I was saving my late Bella, but I actually think she was saving me. Bringing me joy in times of some what craziness! The pictures are beautiful, thank you so much for sharing this special time with all of us. Sending blessings your way-Trisha

What a wonderful way to remember your baby. It's nice to know that our pups have extended family that cares just as much about them as we do.
