Rainy you were one special dog, you were my heart dog.
Your were "Paula's Bodacious Rainy Baby", we called you Rainy. I still miss you more than I can ever describe. I have tears right now as I type this.
Not knowing any better, I'm glad I didn't, we looked in the classified ads and started making calls. We were looking for my wedding present from my husband to be. We made arrangements to go see you and your littermates the next day. It was raining like crazy that day and it was a long drive. There were 10 puppies, and only one was spoken for. I could choose from the other nine. They were all friendly and wiggling but you, you were scared you ran in the shed and hid. You were a big girl, but a big baby. Now I did know not to pick you, but how could I not, you were so scared and I wanted to take you home and make you feel safe, so I did. At $75 I felt got a bargain for an AKC registered dog. You did have mild hip dysplasia, but it never bothered you. You were the sweetest girl, shy but friendly to everyone. You were a great big sister to your 2 human brothers that came along. You were always so gentle with them.
