My sweet Torrey

So tuesday as a family we decided it was time for Torrey to be put down. She was a 14+ shepard/sharpei x. She was my first dog and all my responsibility. We rescued her when she was about 6 months old and had some real rough patches with her because she had been abused. Within a year or so, she transformed into the sweetest most loving dog I've ever seen. Within the last year or so her arthritis has become really bad. We always discussed when it would be time, but never wantedt to actually put her down, our shelfish reasons. She is to the point now that she can only walk about 5 min so we decided it was time. The last two days, my hubby took bentley to his parents to hang out and Torrey has been spending time with us. She has been staying at my moms house because Bentley has been to much for her. We sure are going to miss her. We have a spot for her at our lake property where we will bury her tonight. Can't believe this day is actually here.

You did the kindest thing and I wonder how long it will take the human race to realise that sometimes this should apply to them too !
