    Default Freyja

    Freyja passed away last night at her new home. For those of you who do not know her story....

    A member here saved Freyja, she was owner surrendered and was going to be put down, Scout08 came here and posted and we found a rescue to take Freyja. Scout08 drove the 3+ hour trip to GA, to bring her to Brooke, her foster mom. I was told Freyja was a little shy at first..but them fit right in. She loved the other dogs and Brooke's baby boy.

    Sadly, Scout08 emailed me and told me Freyja went swimming for the first time and then became ill, she was at the vets on IV fluids, but sadly could not be saved. I do know that in the last days of her life she was happy and loved.

    What a tragic story, but at least Scout08 has the comfort knowing that everything that could have been done for Freyja was done and that she, at least, was able to live the last few weeks of her life the way a dog should live -- in a loving home, surrounded by warmth and caring and enjoying life! May she rest in peace.
