Yeller - today marks an entire year since your passing. We miss you Yellie, we miss you. The house still isn't the same without you in it. Oh sure, Helo does his best Yeller impersonation from time to time, but he's not you. We have to keep reminding ourselves of that sometimes, because he does so many things the same as you. He's a spazz like you. He's always dirty like you were in your youth. He's a ball whore like you too. But he's not you.

I sometimes wonder if we did the right thing for you Yeller in the end, but I have to remember that it was you, ultimately who told us what you needed. You just didn't want to fight anymore. I struggled with that for a long time Yeller, wondered if maybe I was the one who gave up the fight first and you followed suit, but we all gave up that day together, if giving up is even what it was. You told your Pa what you needed and together we did what had to be done. I still wish you were here though.

We all miss you Yeller but we know you are with all the other great Labs that had to go before us, what a joyful reunion it will be one day.
