Congratulations lablover, where was your grandfather a firefighter?
I was trying to think of a topic that everybody could participate in, so my husband suggested firehouses. I agreed and thought it was a good idea. Please post 2 pics of firehouses by noon Sunday. They don't have to be from your town. Here are my two examples.
Chicago firehouse built in 1915 for Engine 121 & Truck 40. It is now closed, because the city built a new one.
This is the new home for Engine 121 & Truck 40, built in 2008.

Ooh I'll have to go for a drive for this one!
This is a picture of a painting that hung at my grandparents home ever since I can remember. My grandfather was a fireman at this station and someone painted this painting for him. It is now hanging in our Historical Society's museum.

It looks like it was a hard choice this week.My grandfather was a firetruck drive for the city of Warsaw, IN. Retired from driving firetrucks and started a fire extinguisher business from their home.
