Default How do you "copyright" photos?

And, how (if possible?) do you prevent someone from copying photos off a blog for example?

I'm not so worried about Henry's pictures as I am my niece's. I don't want her pics making the rounds on the internet!!

    Thanks, in advance!!

PS. I'm using a Mac, and don't have PhotoShop.

I could be wrong, but if someone wants to copy the photo there are ways even if you have a copyright mark and have right click disabled. If you don't want the chance of someone using the photo you shouldn't post it on the internet. You can put your photos on a photo site that offers password protected albums. Then give the password to family.

I don't think there is a fool proof way. What's been suggested to me is to only post low resolution pics on the internet. These are not worth peoples time to copy.

Smugmug gives me the option of adding a watermark to all of my images in a gallery...

ooohhh! THANK YOU! I had never noticed that (unless it's only on their "upgraded" packages - off to go check!)

Even watermarks can be photoshopped out. I've done it. Takes time and patience, but you can do it.

If you REALLY don't want someone stealing your photo, don't post it online. That's the rule I go by.
