1st bounced

I got a flash. A 430 EX I gotta tell ya what a difference... I have never bounced light for a pic before so I really like the difference. Okey I know that is prolly something very basic, but new to me. it is cool...

Look at my first (really like the third) shot with it, so much better than the straight on kind, at least inside.

I love my 430EX. I love bouncing flash. The picture in the thread about my new 40D was taken with a bounced flash. What a difference it makes.

I love my Speedlite and use it all the time... I'm thinking about buying a 580EX II so that I can use my 430 as a slave when I'm shooting weddings and portraits.

Those that have the 430 EX Flash, do you think it would be strong enough for use in the sanctuary at my church? I can post a picture to give you an idea of the space, but I think most of you have seen pictures I've posted of it.

Never thought I'd really like my flash but I LOVE IT! pull it out much more often than I thought. I'd actually love to get some of the other types (the ones on both sides of the lens) as well as studio lighting (mock-studio lighting that is)

I try not to use my flash unless the lighting really sucks... I prefer using higher ISO speeds and my 100 f2 and 17-55 IS f/2.8 especially in churches. I love my 70-200 IS f/4L but it's pretty slow indoors. I end up having to use either my flash or ISO 3200 and end up taking a bunch of pictures of the same shot.
