One tip that I remember reading with regards to photography was to get close, then get closer. I love seeing the expression in a great head shot. The shots below are of my labs, but feel free to post head shots of people or animals. Try to resist just cropping, fill the view finder with their head.

It was a very hard decision. It was a pretty broad topic so lots of different and creative shots, and I loved that. I debated which one should win with some others and everyone had their own favorite, but the one that I like the most was by lab-junkie. It might be the crumbs in the corner of the mouth or the lotion that isn't rubbed in all the way, but I thought this picture had tons of expression and was just too sweet to pass by. Great job everyone!!!!!

This is Josh my MIL's 12 month old yellow Lab, we were on the beach and my son was eating a sandwich- the pup was transfixed on it- as labs usually are when it comes to food!!
