I am not sure if I was supposed to do this earlier but...
what a great bunch of pictures, it was hard to choose! but ... I love squirrels and Jimbo's shot of the little guy leaning on the rock is too cute and so very clear! And that first shot (not sure what they are)!! you are the winner Jimbo!
I could stop and say how I loved all the photos but I'm afraid I don't have enough time tonight!
great job everyoneI really enjoyed seeing all the photos

Other than flowers, my favorite thing to photograph is wildlife. They do pose quite the challenge as they will not just sit and pose as a flower or even our labs will do(well...depends on the day when it comes to the dogs!). Post your favorite wildlife shot - anything from a bird, to a squirrel to the more exotic animals you may have encountered!
After this picture Rocky took off after the duck - luckily my camera survived the fall foward!

I'm getting mine in early this week because I may have to work next weekend.
Swallow Tailed Kite
Anhinga
American Alligator
Wildlife is one of my favorite subjects as well!
"The Deer" A lucky catch as seen while hiking along on the quiet Trillium Gap Trail on our vacation last week in the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee:
"Missed It!" Taken at a local park
"The Hawk" Taken while on a walk in a Charlotte, NC neighborhood
"Squirrel" This little guy was dying for some of my trail mix... so I shared. He darted in and out taking a piece or two at a time. Ramsey Cascades Trail, Smoky Mountains, Tennessee:
"Brave Killdeer Mom" I got this Killdeer and her eggs today so I thought I'd add it to my bunch...

Well, first I want everyone to remember to put their memory cards in their camera before taking pictures. Went out this morning by myself, took lots of pictures and then came home to realize I forgot to put card in camera. 2nd trip: Also, when looking for wildlife, don't take grandkids and 3 dogs with you. Wildlife tend to leave the area quickly.
This fish seemed a little PO'd that we threw him a piece of grass instead of bread! Pond is covered in pollen.
This is a very old picture. I found this bat in the church and he was a bit mad at me when I tried to scoop him up with a dust pan!

These are such great pictures, I feel a little silly posting this as my wildlife pic.
Would this pass as a prairie dog?
