I lost my lens cap and need to purchase a new one. I was just going to purchase a generic one online. What mm is my lens???

I lost the lens cap to my 18-55 zoom lens and was just about to go get a replacement when I found it outside in the field, laying on the ground by the fencepost at the gate. I must've put it on top of the fence post and forgot about it. I knew one day I'd just find it

lol, yeah mine will probably turn up someday, too! I thought I dropped it in my car but I've looked under the seats and can't seem to locate it. I'm always misplacing things!

Speaking of lost stuff...yesterday my fiance took off in his pick up truck to the gas station about a mile up the road. He pulled in the parking lot and remembered he left his wallet sitting on the wall of the bed of the truck (or whatever you call it) . He rushed back up the road (ina panic, of course...you know - that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach!) to look for it and amazingly enough found it laying on the side of the road about halfway between our house and the station! Talk about lucky!!
