WEEKLY CHALLENGE -- BLACK AND BLUE -- Winner Announced!!!!

They do this on several of the other photo forums I frequent, and it's a fun way to make yourself go out and take pictures.

There will be a "weekly challenge" posted each week. The person who posts the challenge (in this case me) will select the photo they feel is the best representation of the weekly topic (this week it is Black and Blue).
The person who "wins" will decide what the next weekly challenge is and post a thread with that challenge... and they will decide who "wins" their challenge, and then that winner will post a challenge... etc.. etc...

So, this week's challenge is Black and Blue. Take a picture of something that you feel represents Black and Blue and post it to this thread. You can enter up to TWO photos for the weekly challenge, so choose your best shots. This challenge will end next Sunday at noon (that's April 15).

Ideally you should try to take the photo during the challenge... but we won't make you stick to this. If you have an older photo you think will work, post it You CAN use editing techniques to enhance your photos.

It's cloudy and windy outside so I'm using a photo I took a couple months ago...

I tried to keep the background as dark as I could with still having the blue flowers have some lightness to them.

This was taken when I first got my rebel. I don't think I'll have time to take another new picture for this challenge.

These are from February but I felt they fit this challenge so I just HAD to use them!!

Edited to add: This was also the week the lesson was on silhouettes and I was totally thinking about that when I took these!!!!
