I hope i am not too late on this. It has been crazy here lately. Finally got out to take another B&W of the birdhouse. Monnie....you said the sunlight was distracting in the last picture. You were right. So I tried again. Here is another shot with different settings & different time of day. Thanks.

Thanks Monnie. When you said that about the sunlight...I actaully saw what you meant. The sunlight took away from the photo....not added to it.

These lessons are alot of fun & a great learning experience.

Sometimes you can catch the sunlight just right and it will make a shot like this. I think the reason it doesn't work here is because the photo is so gray. There isn't a lot of contrast from white to black. The sunlight just overwhelms the photo. Now in color, that might not have been a bad photo. It just didn't translate well into B&W.
