the pics of him scootching to the other dogs food is funny. Libby does the same thing! She army crawls torwards Skylars food bowl and when Sky looks at her she flattens and turns her head to the side as if to say "what, I wasent doing nothin"

Have you discussed his weight and growth rate with your vet? I was told that you double the 4 month weight and that should be the full grown weight. If that's true Moses should be about 100lbs fully grown, and many male labs weigh that. So he sounds like he's on track. Sophie was 40 lbs at 4 months and now at almost 9 months she's 72lbs. So that would meake her about 80 lbs fully grown. So maybe the rule-of-thumb does work...

Dad was 89 lbs, and Mom was 65. He is dang near the size of his momma. I told my hubby the other night I have NEVER seen a 16 week lab pup the size of this boy. My choc Lab weighed 107, and that was huge for a lab-- but he was solid muscle-- didn't look like he weighed that much until you tried to pick him up LOL but he hit 107 when he was about a year and a half, and stayed the same weight always. Moses is half the size of my choc lab already....Had I not seen the litter and his parents I would swear he is much older that he is. He is just losing his teeth though (which look ridiculous for his size lol), so I know his age is true. Still, it sure is strange...He was 25lbs when we got him at 12 weeks. He has doubled height and weight in 4 weeks. I don't over feed him, so that isn't the problem. He doesn't even have a puppy bark...he has a very loud full blown Lab bark....bless his heart he is a little guy in a huge body...Originally Posted by tammyhuffman

Quick update on Moses. He is over 70 lbs nowBIG BIG boy! Got him neutered. Didn't want to, but since I won't be breeding him, I thought it was the best thing to do. He is terrified of storms, so will have to work on that. Got him a super nice backpack (Ruffwear Palisades), which has 2 water bladders (easch 2 lte), and 2 HUGE pouches for supplies. Been getting him used to it the last few days. Bought the large. Hope he doesn't out grow it to fast
They are expensive, but I love the fact the packs can be separated from the harness, and the fact they can carry 4 ltrs of water. Also have a safety handle soyou can help give them a boost if they need it.
He sure is a beautiful mess hahaha I love my big boy!!!

ahhhh he is 88.4 lbs as of this afternoon. He is 7 1/2 months old. BIG BOY
He eats 3 small meals a day. But he would eat all day long if I would let him, that is why I break it into 3 small meals. I tried doing just one daily feeding all at once, but he would bark constantly and bite his food bowl. His bark is not a small one. He sounds more like a Rottie when he barks and it is deep and LOUD. He does not have a pup bark LOL He isn't overweight, he is just a BIG boy. He is very solid. He does not look like a pup. Heck he hasn't looked like a pup for a couple of months now. He is beautiful! But he acts like a pup yet, and when runs through the house or starts hoping around with his toys he moves furniture.He is a good boy though.

Aw right, haha im new to the forum so could anyone tell me what a dudley is? Mose's is lovely, pics just make him look a bit 'round' where his waist should be :s

a Dudley is a yellow without black pigment on the nose, eye rims, and lips.
