Wow, out of the blue Ruby started dropping the ball at my feet.

Up til now she would "present" it and I would take it from her mouth...

Cute Pup! Love Chocolate Labs. I have a question...What kind of collar is that? I have seen other pics on here where the dogs have a similar collar. What is it?

It's a electronic dog fence/containment collar. Wireless Fences | PetSafe Wireless Dog Fences

I have a transmitter at one end of the house and another at the opposite end of my studio. That gives Ruby a "safe" zone of 240' x 180'.

As she nears the outside of the zone the collar beeps once, a little further and it beeps continuously, a little bit further and it delivers a shock.

My previous dog Max, a 125# German shepherd/rottweiller cross would come to a four wheel skid just before reaching the fence when chasing deer/rabbits/etc.
