I posted a while back about how to go about getting my lab to loose weight so I thought I would post some pictures of her now.
Before, in Aug of '10 @ 78lbs:
And last week @ 62lbs:
Sorry about the feet, I was alone for all but the one and her stay isnt that good yet lol
You can also see the change in her coat from Aug to now. She is so much healthier. She gaining quite a bit of muscle (shes been teaching my bully how to play tug) and her energy level has changed quite a bit. We had an outting saturday where my husband brought his bike and took turns rding with each dog before bringing them back to walk with my friend and I and taking another on a run and she had a blast.
She's even smiling in the After picture!
I never noticed that! I took several and everyone she had her eyes shut like that too. But thats definitely how she acts now. Much more energy and so much happier to not be lugging all that extra weight around.
Good job!!

Thank you! Im defintely proud of how far she has come. Ive always had a hard time bonding with her but the last few months of working with her has definitely helped that. Shes still as stubborn as a block wall and training progressing slowly but its there, it is progressing none the less.
Great job...she looks wonderful now!!
My chocolate girl Java weighed 75 lbs when she had her first knee surgery...I worked really hard to take weight off of her after her second knee surgery. She's down to 60 lbs now and feels and looks great.
It's amazing what a difference a few pounds makes in their health and happiness.
Thank you.
I definitely agree. I do not understand the fat = happy logic, espically after seeing the change first hand. Indy is so much happier now and knowing that it cut back on her risk of many health issues made it all the better.
Good job!

Hang in there. One day at a time.
I never thought I would bond with Erns. Partly I think my fault as it took me time to get over the loss of Kassa. He too was a block wall. Training was slow, but we did it. Today he rarely runs away and I couldn't imagine life without him. Never thought that would happen.
Great job with the weight. She is looking good.
