Here in NJ you aren't allowed to wear pins, hats, tshirts etc showing your support within 100 feet of a polling place.
I went to vote this morning with several Obama pins on and they made me leave and take them off.
Anyway, there was no line at all, so I went back in and voted and was back in my car in about 1 minute!
huh...go figure!
I remember hearing something like that for around here. I'll have to pay attention when I got vote today.

No electioneering here within 300 500 feet of the polling place.
Pity the guy who wore his Bob Barr boxers!
That's true everywhere I have lived and voted for at least as long as I have been alive - no campaigning within a certain number of feet of the polls. I think it is 150 here. I remember going to "help" my mom vote when I was in elementary school in Texas and they had restrictions then.

Yep- no electioneering within 100 feet of polling places in NJ. Someone called into to 101.5 earlier saying as she was leaving after she voted, a big SUV parked right by the door of her polling place with a big Obama sticker on it. The car was still there a little while later when she drove back past, so she called the NJ Voter phone number. Turns out it was a pollworker, who shoudl have known better.Originally Posted by blacklabelias
