I got another card in the mail. SPEECHLESS! You guys... you amaze me!

In the past four days;

We had both cars broken into in our driveway. Yeh... that sucks. They didn't get much, as we don't keep much in the vehicles. He did forget to bring in his backpack which carried our bills, checkbooks, work badge and his eye glasses. Most everything was recovered (over three different streets) except for the backpack, the eye glasses and his blue tooth ear phone thingy.

I had to take Alexa and Maddy into the doctor's office. Alexa had x-rays done on her back. They couldn't find the problem. It's good that her spine and all looks great. If her pain persists, they will go ahead and do an MRI. She has been having lower back pain for about a month now.

Maddy has to have an MRI on Thursday. Looking for a brain tumor. She has had symptoms that point to a tumor as a possibility. The few other possible culprits have been eliminated. I'm not going to worry until I see something to worry about.

So... I told you all of this so you can kind of see the mindset Loren and I were in when finishing out the day.

When we got your card, Loren and I were in our room, pulling off our shoes and readying for bed. He told me, "you got a card in the mail today with our address as the return." He handed it to me. He sat down on the bed beside me while I opened it.

Loren and I well... we just sat there....... ................. ...... Then just looked at each other and grinned. No words needed to be spoken. I think his eyes were just about as telling as mine.

He then put his arm around me and said, "You have some really good friends out there."



"Yes............ I do."

You know... it's really funny.... ummmm.... but ....... it's all okay right now.

I don't know how to describe it. It seems like.... The more stones life keeps trying to throw at us.... the less I complain. There is less to complain about. You just start seeing more and more of what there is to be thankful for.

I really haven't even spilled all that is going on. It's enough to probably make your head spin.

I'm not sure where all of this is going to land us. I'm not sure how all of this is going to shape me for my role in life in the future.

I have something inside me that is pushing me... pushing me to make a difference. Only thing is, I don't have all the pieces to the puzzle yet. It's almost as if I'm still being groomed. Not for notoriety. For a difference.

Then again, maybe it's all just a part of life. :gum:

Either way... I'm here. I'm in the game. I'm playing. I may not be the obvious winner, but we're hanging in there with the best of them. :butt:
