I'm debating on if I should go to the doc or not?
If you have issues, post about it here. I would like to hear what other people deal with.
The low blood pressure is making me crazy.
Two days in a row I have napped.
I don't nap.

I have had anemia for years, Shanna. I get B12 shots every two weeks, take iron every day but I still have to get blood transfusions or iron transfusions a couple of times a year. You need to go to a doc. It's a simple blood test. All you will probably have to do is take iron supplements. I don't absorb them well, so I have to get transfusions but you shouldn't have to. Believe me you will feel better.
I have been anemic off and on for over 20 years. Intially it was really bad and I had to get iron shots. Now I just take a multi vitamin with iron and when I start to feel run down I take an iron pill.
You probably want to see a doctor because anemia can become really dangerous if your iron level gets too low. The downside to iron pills is they give me a stomachache and your poops are pretty bad. sorry that may be too much info but it's the truth !!!!

You need to find out what type of anemia you have. Sometimes iron pills won't do the job.

*raises hand* didn't know till i was almost dead apparently.
i napped all the time. sometimes for a day or two i only had the energy to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. you need to get a blood panel done. if you need iron supplements there isn't enough in geritol to do it. that's the only experience i have with it.
My MIL did. She would get blood transfusions several times a year and other treatments. They put a port in her upper chest to treat her easily. After several years of this, she had a colonoscopy and they found a very small ulcered area that was bleeding. They removed the section and she no longer needed any type of treatment.

Okay.. that is good info. You have convinced me to make an appt. with my doc.
It has gotten to where I am ULTRA DIZZY and feel certain I am going to drop.
I am having some pain in the middle of my chest. (angina I presume)
I just had Aunt Flo visit, so I think that is what sent the symptoms I was having over the top.
Since I haven't been eating much... I know I have done this to myself. I found that most of what little I have been eating or drinking prohibits the absorption of iron.

Pain the chest is not always angina, not always cardiac related.

Bean, anemia can cause shortness of breath, rapid or irregular hearbeat, and chest pains. So your pain may not be heart related.
Regardless, get your ass to the doctor.![]()
