We've got this show on TV here in Oz to find the country's best psychic. They put 7 of them to the test to find a lost boy in the bush. He wasn't really lost, they just hid him & then gave these guys 15 minutes each to find him. Two of them found him using their various psychic powers within the time. The others weren't so lucky. The next segment had them doing "readings" on the studio audience & revealing things only their subjects would know. Most of them were pretty accurate.
Which got me thinking. Was it just a set up & they had already rehearsed the 2nd part?. When interviewed later, most of the people said they were amazed about how these people knew so much about them but then this IS TV & they can & do say anything for the ratings.
What do you think?. Would you pay one of these guys to tell your fortune or to get in touch with a loved one who's died?.
Would I?. I dunno. I've always being a skeptic about these things but even I've had some weird things happening around here lately that I can't explain. Next time I see one in a market somewhere, I might go & test them. :suspious:

I'm not sure. I think most are fakes, but I've also seen some freaky stuff in person that defies any rational explanation. And that John Edwards guy...I have heard stories about his show...stuff that doesn't even make it on the air that makes my toes curl!

No. Most psychics use cold reading:
