Default I guess last year was my last year for getting off cheap (back to school)

Last year was LLBean, Sears, The Children's Place, Gap, Joe Fresh, Payless. This Year it's Aeropostal, American Eagle, Billabong, Dakine, Converse, Saucony & New Balance.

    How old is your eldest?

I was thankful my dd was too small to fit into clothes from AE up until last year! LOL. As it is now, she wears the XS and in a lot of stores, the XXS. Worked to my advantage. But yes, it does get quite expensive quite quickly, doesn't it??

I'm so glad my kids aren't "clothes" crazy. Even my daughter, she has no idea what Aeropostal is! My niece, who is Chloe's same age, is shopping at those places already, in 4th grade!! Chloe is okay w/ Target and Old Navy.

Almost 7 & almost 10. It's the almost 10 and the sneakers. $49.99 a pair, 2 pairs each. That's just the sneakers, not the "Uggs" and flats. Thank goodness for "Buy one get one 1/2 off" sales. Liv fits XS at AE & Aero. Anna doesn't yet. Anna's sneaks are NB & Saucony, because I figure why buy $24 walmart ones that will be shredded in less than a month? Liv asked for converse high-tops. her other ones are Asics. Thankfully as far as clothing goes, they aren't picky (brand-y) they just know what they like no matter where it's from, and Joe Fresh is pretty cute. Liv likes the brand-y tees because a lot of her friends have them. I don't mind that, really, as long as she's still happy with the stuff from Roots, CP, & The Bay too. We got excellent deals on cool Dakine bookbags at a local surf/snowboard shop, nicer than the Bean ones I usually get, & cheaper ( big sale). I'm taking a week off before getting the supplies & first day back outfits. I'm shopped out!

The nice thing about Aeropostale is that it is fairly inexpensive. It's AE that always gets me. But they have good sales.

Also- another one I like, but am not sure if it is just an Ontario store or Canada wide- is Campus Crew. Cute stuff! And they have great sales.

I love Target. I wish we had it here.

The only reason Liv knows about any brand other than The Children's Place is because of her friends with older sisters. She doesn't really understand, but she knows the logos when she sees them. She doesn't know what store they came from, but she'll say "Grace has a shirt with that on it". When I asked what her favourite clothes store is, she told me "Roots" which is reasoanbly priced & functional. I guess it could be worse.
