I literally have thousands of pictures stored there. I pay a yearly fee. I thought since I had my account set to private that it was private. :-\
I don't have any questionable pictures, but still they are mine. Mostly of the dogs, but some of me and my family.
I believe someone guessed Sam's password and that made the private account not so private. That's what I heard, I could be wrong.

I'm not sure exactly how private Photobucket is. I regard the internet as a billboard. I post or store nothing that I wouldn't want the whole world to see.
On another note, if anyone is so interested in the pictures I keep in photobucket and is willing to make effort to see them . Well, let's just say they really need to rethink their life. ;D
I think you're okay unless you have a password that can be guessed by others. I don't use Photobucket, so I'm not really sure.
yep...if you post a photobucket photo, we can get to your login screen, but need to "guess" your password. I'd change your password to something very difficult.Originally Posted by zoezoe

I wouldn't put anything there that you wouldn't want your mother, your boss, your spouse, your priest, etc seeing...it is "private" but it isn't, really.

Guys, I can't say this enough, NOTHING is private once it's uploaded. Get a storage device for your home and keep private stuff on that. You never have to worry then, unless someone breaks in, and then you've got bigger fish to fry.
Another thing--if you do have photos in a photobucket account, don't number them. It's very easy to guess the file names if you see one that is numbered. Use unique text titles for every photo.
Like I said I have nothing to be ashamed of in my pictures, but still they are my pictures.
Paula, you can set your Photobucket account to either private or public... it's under "account options" at the top.
If it's private, people who want to view it will have to enter your password. So long as it's not easily guessable, you'd be okay, though... nothing on the internet is 100% truly private, as we've all been witness to these past few days. :-\
