I swear to you people in our office just expect everything to be done for them and ready (the attorneys or at least one of them). She works up stairs she calls down here until she can get a hold of someone to find out if there is coffee made fresh in the kitchen. I don't answer anymore when she calls. (and no she is not old she is young and is very capable of walking up and down the stairs, hell we have an elevator)
Well sometimes when she finally gets down here and the coffee might be gone she gets PISSED off. Then she goes and asks the receptionist to make more and then she calls back down to find out if it is ready. What are you above making it? Bring your butt down here and get it when it is made the first time in the morning. And what kills me she comes down at least two times to warm it back up from sitting on her desk all morning.
sorry for the vent but that just bugs me.
She's got the "I'm more important attitude" asshat.
Well dang, I prefer to make the coffee, then I know it's right. Maybe she's to dumb to make good coffee. ;D

I refuse to go in our coffee room......the profs here are just plain PIGS!!!
And I really hate when in the afternoon, I can smell the burning coffee pot........
I suppose they are trying to be nice and leave that last little bit on a hot burner for the next guy.....and the next guy won't touch it.......We have had a pot break before........ >![]()
I don't think that is lazy. I think she is trying to make good use of her time. If I am paying for the services of an attorney, I think it is not appropriate to have her waste her time to make coffee when there are other people around who could do it. You could be more considerate of her - I am sure she is under pressure to get her work done. Why be part of the problem when you could be part of the solution?
She better be nicer...hasn't she heard that some people have been known too add "special ingredients" to things?

Because the days of the secretary getting the coffee has gone the way of the dinosaur!!!!!!!
IF the chair of my department had a visitor in the office I would gladly offer to get them some black coffee. Otherwise, people are quite capable of fixing their own coffee.
The attorney in question doesn't have someone in the office, she is just being lazy. I don't begrudge anyone a few minutes to leave the desk to take care of their personal needs. Now if the attorney working my case leaves for more than 15 minutes, I would expect that not to be counted against my case hours. But to go downstairs and make fresh coffee (if needed) and pour a cup, can't take more than 10 minutes. She is being too dang uppity in my opinion.
Well if the attorney knows how to bill, they know they are suppose to mark it when they are not working on the case and when they sit back down they start from there again.
Somebody needs to watch her, she doesn't know how to make coffee..........Originally Posted by Tater Tot
