Default Rescue Kitty, Please help - Pics of kitty (besides butt pics) in 1st post

I have my first "rescue kitty". He was stuck in a water drain on the side of the interstate. Just inches away from the cars passing by. I thought he was dead but then saw him lift his head and turned back around. I have NEVER had a kitten/cat before. What do I need to do. Also, I bathed him and noticed his butt and something seems weird about it. I am posting a picture. Please remember that I've never had a cat before so don't laugh too hard!

Note: This is what his butt looks like all of the time. Doesn't something seem odd about it?

I was thinking of calling him Sebastian for right now. I don't know if I will keep him. Right now I'm leaning towards no... I don't have lots of extra money and I go out of town on the weekends and don't know what I'd do with him (I bring my girls with me).

It's hard to tell from that picture. Are you keeping the cat? I would take it to the vet.

The first thing I would do, especially having other animals in the house, is take it to the vet for testing/inspection. This is VERRRYYYYYY important.

Good for you for saving him! His butt looks normal to me. Make an appointment with a vet and have him checked over and given vaccinations right away. Is he eating?

Oh, cats generally don't like baths. :P

OK wait. I'm looking at that picture again and it seems weird. Is his butthole directly under his tail, I hope? Kinda looks like it's on his belly from that perspective.

You'll need a litterbox too. Has he peed or pooped yet?

He hasn't gone to the bathroom yet. And yes it is directly beneath his tail! I have him in the bathroom and he is laying on the dry warm towels on the shelf.
