As always, inspired by another thread! So, did you or didn't you have braces?
Well, I did that last one on the poll.... no braces and pretty straight. Because those were the options.
My teeth are sturdy and well shaped, straight as a picket fence... they remind me of my sturdy little 1937 house. Well formed and made to last.
However, if you would care to run a poll on eyes I would freely report very poor scores. Oh, pretty to look at (with some help from mascara and shadow) but vision worth? Lord help me!
Really... I am considering learning Braille. :'(

Had 'em four LONG years as a kid. Along with traumatic oral surgery. The top teeth remain pretty straight, but for some reason, my wacky orthodontist kept the bottom braces on a shorter period of time and now my bottom teeth are crooked. I'm thinking of getting retainer or those Invisi-line braces. Blech.

Didn't really need them, but hey, they are the thing to do right. Don't all kids get braces? My teeth look exactly the same now as they did before braces! My sister always wanted braces so she got them when she was 40. Her teeth look exactly the same also! STUPID!

I had braces, wore my retainer for 3-4 years, my teeth are still straight almost 12 years later. My teeth weren't very crooked to begin with, though, and they were straight on the bottom. They have shifted a bit but not that anyone (but me) can notice. I know a lot of people that had braces in their early teens and now their teeth have moved back, though. A lot of those friends are doing the invisalign. I think the key is to wear those retainers!

I had braces...twice! AND I still wear the retainers!! I love my teeth!(the first time was real braces, the second time was Invisalign - when it first came out)
I had braces and top teeth are perfectly straight, but my front bottoms aren't. I had to get dental work done and they took out the bottom retainer...this was after 10 or 12 years later, and my straight teeth didn't hold..... :![]()
I have never had braces, but just last week I checked my dental insurance to see how much they would pay towards them. I had to have a back lower tooth pulled, and made the mistake of not getting a bridge. Now my teeth are moving all around. My Grandson, 10 years old with braces, thinks I"m too old!

Get Invisalign...you are never too old for that! I highly recommend itOriginally Posted by Linda1

I was supposed to get them, but they did an X-Ray and the state of my jaw made them bypass the idea. Teeth straightened out on their own and right now they are pretty straight. Only problem is my canines are still babies. So sometimes I think they're just gonna wear away as deciduous teeth are not meant to last 27 years.
