Default Epi Pen -- Anyone carry one?

I had some allergy testing done two weeks ago as I've always had a problem with shellfish. Anyway, doctor called and left a message (naturally I was at lunch) and said that she'd discuss the results further on the phone, but that I have a "significant" allergy to oysters and mussels and that I should be prescribed an Epi Pen in case of emergency.

I carry one for Zoe, who is allergy to bee stings.

I think Glen (Delmonico) carries one, but not certain.

My mom carries one for bee stings. I had to be trained on it. I got to practice by stabbing an orange!

I carry one because I take allergy shots. I only need to have it on me on the days I get shots.

I used to have to carry one back when my ashtma was much worse. With new medications these days, I don't need one anymore.
They're really easy to use though.

I have one. I had a reaction to a medication (Celebrex). Thank goodness I insisted on it after I had the first reaction, which no one thought was an allergic reaction : The second time it happened we had to use it. Or, Kevin used it. I was unconscious.

It is very easy to use. You should have it refilled once a year. I will always carry one now. No one *thinks* that will ever happen again as long as I don't take Celebrex anymore, but I think it's a darn good emergency thing to have. If Kevin or I ever reacted to a bee sting, we'd have it right there. It's one of those things: I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I carry one when I travel away from town in warm weather because of bees and allergies to molds and 5 anti-biotics. My reaction is slow and part of the time 4 Benadryl will fix it, otherwise I head to the ER. I have carried on many trips to the ER, but never used it. You are supossed to go to the ER anyway if you use it so I've always saved it.
