Well, yesterday he was told he needed braces.(goes in March 20th for this) This is something I have known for quiet sometime, but I had no idea his overbite (didn't even realize he had one) was so bad. Looks like he will have them on 2.5 to 3 years, then after that a retainer. I can't believe how much it's gonna cost us. My stomach hasn't bunched up in knots this much since we bought our house back in October. I hate stressing out over money. I don't want to say he can't get them cuz they are too expensive. I want him to have confidence in himself when he smiles. (y'all know what I mean?) Hopefully next year we will get some money back from our taxes (already bought a car this year from this years taxes...only had one vechicle) to get it paid off fast.
My daughter is gonna need braces too. I can already tell at the age of six she will need them just by the way her teeth are growing back in. I'm gonna look into dental insurance. We have to ge on it for two years to have any ortho covered. So, hopefully when she needs the work done we will be on the dental insurance long enough to where it's covered for her.

Braces are expensive! My ds has worn them since last July and I'm sure dd will be getting them in the near future. In the end, it will be worth it.
Good luck with them. I had them for about 2 years it stunk but was very worth it. I hope you can get some dental insurance to help cover your daughters when it comes time. Most places offer decent financing I know mine did.

Use the CareCredit card if your orthodontist uses it.

It can be used for just about any medical, dental, even veterinary service with interest plans of 0% for some amounts.
I just paid for my daughters braces after paying for both of my boys braces. The price just keeps going up and up.

My daughter has to get them, as well. She just got a spacer appliance thing put in a few months ago. That thing was expensive. Oy Oy Oy.
For your daughter, even though she is just six, I'd take her to be seen at the orthodontist. There are things they can do early that may help avoid braces. Of course, that isn't always the case.
I feel your pain!
This is my dog. His name is Tucker. And we live in Ontario, Canada, eh!

We got approved for the credit thing...but it was for $3100 less than what we needed. I didn't want to pay two places. So just gonna pay the dentist office. Plus, there is no intrest if we are late on a payment. The dentist office said they are flexable and will work with us on our payments month to month.

That works too. ;D Our ortho gave us a $500 discount for paying in full so it was worth it to use the card at 0%.
