Default Happy Valentine's Day from the snowy northeast!

And Lynn and I both have snow days - our colleges are closed because of the snow storm! ;D

I'd say we've had about 4 inches of snow at this point - a lot less than originally predicted. I walked the dogs a few minutes ago - it's a heavy snow that's got a lot of moisture in it - and mixing with sleet and rain. Gonna be heavy to shovel and plow. But, they are saying that the heaviest snow may be yet to come. Still saying we might end up with as much as 20 inches of snow.

So, I'll be lighting a fire in the fireplace and spending the day with my Valentine - her flowers were delivered yesterday and I have her card and chocolates hidden away. Of course, the day will be punctuated with forays outside to plow and shovel.

Enjoy! I wish we got the snow. Just a lot of sleet and freezing rain here. We have about 3 inches of sleet on the ground and it is supposed to get real icy later. I'm working from home today, but my wife had to go in (hospitals don't close).

I know what your wife is going through. While I worked at the Pentagon before retiring from the Army I was considered "key and essential" and had to make my way in even if the Federal Government shut down. That made for some interesting commutes!

It's official....they closed the city and county schools. Not that this makes ay difference to me, but I may work from home this morning. I think we got about 8-12 last night, but it is a very slick heavy snow.
When Beau and I came back from his play date last night...my neighbors got stuck trying to get into his drive way. I can't believe the guy across the street would not come help...but I finally got them so they could back up out of the end and make a dash up into the drive way. I felt so good inside...a bit frozen but still a good feeling. They are older and never could have gotten the van out of its predicament.

Don't worry Mark....more is on the way from this end of the state!! :P ENJOY!

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Happy Valentine's Day Mark and Lynn. And Everybody!

Me and my SU are home today too. My boss called and told me to stay home. We might brave it this afternoon and go see Hannibal Rising. Whoo hoo!
