Help Please with Childrens book(s)

When I was a little kid I remember reading a series of books about a little girl named Holly. She lived with her grandparents and she had a pony that followed her to school. I think the books were called Holly and Ivy, but I cannot find these listed anywhere. Anyone know what I'm talking about.

Also, I read a book about a princess that lived in a castle. There were trolls that lived inside the walls of the castle and they kidnapped her and she learned all about the secret lives of the trolls. I never was able to finish the book as my mom had to return it to the library, and I've never heard of it since. I don't have a title for it. Would love to find that book and finish it.

Do you have a children's bookstore near where you live? I mean a store that sells only children's books. Where I use do live we had one and it was amazing that woman who ran the store knew.

Does your local library have a children's section? If so, head over there and ask. They are usually really good about knowing this kind of stuff.

THIS is the store that was down the street from where I used to live. The woman who owns the store is very knowledgeable. Maybe you can call them and ask.

I also found a book called Once Upon a Marigold (castle/princess/trolls) but I don't think it is the one you are looking for - what I found shows it was just written a few years back.

Wrong names, but this is a series of books about a girl, a horse and she lives with her grandparents.

Thanks everybody. I think I will talk to a librarian and see if they can remember it.

I have check out that Holly and Ivy one with the little girl and doll, but that is not the book. This girl had no doll, and I would remember as a little kid I hated dolls (tomboy here) and would never have read a book that had dolls in there You know how kids can be.

I will continue with the search.
