....for a local magazine.
A friend sent this picture in of me(which she took recently), and apparently they loved it.
And get this....they said I had great "bedroom eyes".
Umm....how do you respond to something like that? I don't think I have those, much less the other attributes to model. I ain't no cover girl!
So I said noooo thanks!
Apparently I'm crazy for turning them down.
But that's ok, crazy people are good!* :P

Congratulations!!!!
Crazy people are the best!!!
And it is statistically proven that they are more likely to have "bedroom eyes" than non-crazy people! LOL
uh kim.. don't be a doofus.. you'll regret this for a long time.. think of the memory of such a flattering situation.. such a great experience.. you should take the risk and put yourself out there.. you won't regret it.
"I'm glad I'm back too, Kel. You know your so special to me. Could not imagine my life without you in it. " - Ma

They were your words, Ma.. I wish they had been mine. I miss you.
What? We don't get to see the picture? ;D
How flattering. But I don't blame you. It's a very tough business and with the drugs, sex, and starvation... it's not worth it.
Besides, I like you behind the camera 8)
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this isn't vogue banging down her door.. it's probably a lot less grand.. so i doubt kim will be sticking her fingers down her throat anytime soon.Originally Posted by raian
You get one life, Kim.. when something good happens.. something fun, and cool and an experience you don't get everyday.. you need to think really hard before walking away.

Yeah, the sex, drugs and starvation don't kick in until a much higher level. :P Local modeling is just fun! I had a great time with the other girls. We were all in it for the same reasons, pretty much. Just a lark.No backstabbing, cattiness, nothing like that. Everyone was very nice and supportive of each other, and we had a lot of laughs!
I remember those times very fondly.
Beauty pageants...now that was another story. :Some of those girls...YIKES!

If you can still do it, DO IT! You won't get these opportunities forever. Take advantage! As my mom always said, "It will make for some good stories later, if nothing else."![]()

I agree with Kelli and Connie. Just do it for fun and don't take it or yourself too seriously. And if nothing else, it can give you a different perspective being on the other side of the camera. Besides, how many people have the opportunity to do both?
For what it's worth... I agree with Kelli & Connie.
Yeaaaaa.....I've been rethinking it.
Especially since a certain person's been nagging me endlessly since I told them.
And, it turns out I also know the photographer....so it won't be too bad that way.
And yea, I also thought about the "Hey, this could be fun...be something new to try". And what the hell I only live once.
It's not lingerie or anything (thank GOD..because I so wouldn't do that). It's just a couple local stores need some models for the winter issue of a local magazine. Nothing fancy and nothing I want to do for a living. But hey, it could be fun...and I'll learn stuff.
Raian, here. This is the picture she sent in. I don't think it's anything great personally, in fact I think it's terrible. But what do I know...I only take the pictures* :P
I'm re-thinking it. I think I'm going to do it.
ps: kel...doofus? nice choice of words there girly. haha
