Mmmm...Fall

My favorite time of year. The weather here (Oregon) went from summer
to fall in less then a week. I think I'm going to make a big pot of soup tonight.

I'm planning on going to an apple orchard this coming weekend. I live on apples this time of year. I'll probably be posting all kinds of apple recipes. Going to get some pumpkins too, I think.

I love fall too...pumpkin picking, apple picking, apple cider, fall festivals, haunted houses, roasted corn dipped in butter at the farm stand, the crisp smell on an early fall morning....Ahhhhh...i love this time of year. So much to look foward to.

My fave time of year, although here (UK) we call it Autumn.. I love it when the leaves turn brown and fall off the trees and you can walk through them and they crunch.. also like conker season.. hubby takes the boys, collects the conkers and then we all play conkers (do you all get conkers??)

Two cheers for Honey Crisp Apples! They are the best I've ever tasted. This particular hybrid apple "evolved" at the University of Minnesota...about 80 miles from my town.
They have just made it into our grocery stores in our town, but I love going to orchard for the fall experience.

I can't wait to make meatloaf, potatoes, and corn (I blanched about 4 dozen this summer, and I can't wait to taste them). Fall is glorious to say the least.

love fall, too. my favorite thing to do is drive up the columbia gorge and go to hood river for their harvest festival. the trees are so pretty and the weather is perfect. glad that the hot weather should be over-but i am not complaining !!!
