Years ago we purchased a tall white cabinet from Ikea for the bathroom in our bedroom. This cabinet is FILLED with collections of cremes and samples. I have every hair curling spritz and mousse ever created, I have a habit of purchasing from Lancome whenever they run their specials where you get a make-up bag filled with goodies (and I hardly wear make-up at all)...you can just imagine what's going on in this cabinet. Oh yes, and all those small shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, shower caps, sewing kits, & shoe buffers from all the hotels I've been to. I'm going to clean that cabinet today!!
What should I do with all the "stuff"???
What do you guys do with never used or hardly used products??
You could donate them to a women's shelter.

OMG... I am THE SAME WAY.
I hardly ever wear makeup and even when I do, Eric says he prefers me without... WTF?!
However, I purge and throw away mine more often. Oh and I don't even want to think how many lotions/cleansers I have sitting around the house... even though I *should* I almost never use those either!
*sigh*

Having really difficult hair (until recently that is!), I've got more hair stuff in my bathroom than Sally Beauty Supply in their warehouse! Some of it I used once or twice. Luckily the place I go to now will take it back even if you've used it.
Donating stuff like that to a women's shelter is a great idea. I'll check into doing that.

Donating to a women's shelter or to a nursing facility would really make someone happy.
If they are unopened samples, go to the post office and get some of those shipping boxes for the service personnel. They cost $8 to ship no matter what they weigh. Send them to the service men and women overseas, they'd love to have them!

I save up all those little sample and travel size bottles and give them to the homeless shelter, VA hospital or the women's shelter. Many times these people have nothing when they arrive. Diapers, formula, diaper wipes, female hygeine products are a great help too.

that's what we do at work. A woman attorney takes up a collection of items once a year.Originally Posted by Maple1
