how long to you wait to post negative feedback? On July 20 I bought and paid for an item. Other than this invoice, I have not heard from the seller nor have I received the item. I have tried twice to contact the seller without success. Should I post negative feedback or give the seller more time?
I would be checking to see if they are still selling things. If so, I would send an email through eBay telling them that you would like a response to your email or you will be left with no choice but to leave negative feedback. Make sure you keep copies of all your correspondence to them or a record of it. I would wait until the 20th of this month before you take action. I have had sellers have computer crashes, family problems, etc. In buying and selling over 200 items I have never had a situation turn out bad. I have had a few drag on for a month or so though.

I agree with Texas Tank. Give it some more time, but email again, through ebay (and your regular email if you want), warning that they'll get negative feedback if you don't hear from them.
I had a buyer who was a headache not long ago....turns out she was on the road, and unable to access the 'net, to be in touch with me. It took over a month, but she finally paid and it was resolved.

I have tried twice to contact the seller through Ebay. I have also noted that they have been buying & selling since my transaction. But I will do as you have suggested and wait.
Thanks
I had this happen and was getting really worried because I thought I got ripped off. Actually the persons family member had died and they had to do the funeral, etc.

It could be just an oversight on their part. But I'd definitely keep emailing them, and warn that you'll turn this over to ebay if you don't receive your item (and you can do that....report them to ebay if it's not resolved).

Give it more time...some ppl just do bank deposits twice a month and do shipping either once a month or twice a month.
The auction closed on Juy 20th? That's only 2 or so weeks ago...be patient and don't post a negative feedback until you have your item in hand and you aren't happy with the whole process. I personally ignore those comments about slow shipping..if they wanted it overnight they could've bought it somewhere else asked and for Fed Ex.
How is the item being shipped? First class? Parcel post? Media mail? That all makes a difference as well.
I've had a few sellers that were really slow with shipping and never contacted me by email after the sale even though I paid immediately through Paypal. If they have good feedback(actually I never buy from anyone who doesn't anyway) I usually cut them a little slack. Like Sandie said I'd give it until the 20th of this month.
Ebay Rules states that the sellsr has 30 days to send the item so the seller could technically wait till day 30 and then mail the item and still be within ebay guidelines.* Tacky yes but within the guidlines.*
If the seller has not sent you the item and 30 days has passed ask for confirmation that the item was sent.* If that is not given or answered then file a non-sent item complaint on the seller.* You should be able to find it in the 'My Ebay' section.* Sorry I can't send you the link or the name Ebay is blocked at my work by the evil passive aggresive sow I work for.* :'( :* ;D

If you paid via PayPal, be aware that you must dispute any charges within 30 days. You cannot ask PayPal to refund your payment after that.
