    Default Laptop suggestions,

I need your help. I need a laptop that isn't too expensive. I'd rather have a Macbook but alas, the reason I need one is our accountant's program doesn't have a Mac application so I have to use a pc. So, what is your recommendations? I'll be using it just for accessing the software for our accountant and producing invoices, bids that kind of thing. Everything else will be still coming off my Mac mini. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg but want something that is dependable but won't break the bank. What say you?

I bought an Acer because I didn't want to spend a bunch of money.
I just use it for personal use but I really like it. The customer service was good too. It kept shocking me and they figured out it was the charger. They replaced it and it only took two day to get it.

You could probably get an HP Pavillion or Acer at Costco for a good price.

    HP Pavillion
I have a Pavilion (Entertainment version) and love it. Got it in August of last year. I have a ton of stuff on here and haven't had a single problem with it. One of the best features about it is that it is FANTASTIC for playing DVD's especially - the quality is brilliant, as are the features that come along with it. Highly recommended!

Actually my friend just got a REALLY nice HP laptop, one of the higher end ones for about $580 at Best Buy. It had 3 GB of ram, a 320 GB hard drive, a nice processor (at least a dual-core, but I don't remember) and it looked very nice. It had a good graphics card, too.

Believe it or not, but we shopped around and it was cheaper at Best Buy than it was at Costco!

I think the Pavaillions have been getting very high scores from the various PC magazines, etc. I nearly bought one when my Acer died, but decided to give a Mac a try this time around.
