Well, she's finally coming home tomorrow.
Brother flew in today, sister & Mom will come in together tomorrow.*
She'll be living at a rather nice nursing/assisted care facility just 3 miles away from my home; less than a 10 minute drive.*
Don't know what her condition is, but I'll be able to see her tomorrow.* She misses Hawaii, the "local" food, and the weather.* It's a very structured place, so she may not be very happy, though we feel it's the best place for her.* Therapy continues .... in hopes that she can live independently again.* A long process.
Hikari remains in Washington; he can't come home till February 2007.** But that's okay too, b/c Mom would not be able to care for* him, especially while she's in her new home.
Wanted to share the update for those of you who have been following our saga.
Brother has not yet asked for reimbursement for airfare.* He may ask Mom directly; however, I think this is kind of like a "mini" vacation for him too.*

Good to hear that she's coming homeI'll be thinking of her.
I may have missed this in a previous post, but why does Hikari have to stay in WA for so long?
