It's not easy to put hurt and anger aside but I'm working very hard on doing so. My father had a pacemaker put in around 3 years ago and he's had some issues with it ever since. They will be doing surgery on Tuesday to put in a new one, thinking that this one might be defective.
Without going into specifics, he's been an angry and easily riled up person all of is life who has never been able to see a glass half full. What a pity to go through life so angry. He's lost out on a lot of happy times, all because he has refused to accept anything outside of "his" box. At this point in my life, I no longer fear the man but am still affected by his angry and hurtful remarks.
I just spoke with him, he sounds okay and will be going into the hospital this afternoon. I'll visit him tomorrow and be sure to throw some earplugs in my ears so that I can leave that hospital room in one piece.
Good thoughts for your dad, Randi.
Good thoughts for your dad. I hope all goes well.
Sounds like he is his own worst enemy Randi. Prayers that he recovers well and sees the light somewhere in the dark.
Thoughts and prayers.
You got 'em.

Good thoughts from here, Randi. I'm glad you've gotten past the fear of your dad's volatile personality but I imagine there are some pretty deep emotional scars.
