Can someone diagnose my symptoms? (UPDATE-I'm ok)

Update - I got in to see the dr this morning, and she said I have a virus.* The numb arm/hand thing is likely unrelated and I probably slept wrong on it and didn't know.* My* neck still hurts a lot so I took the rest of the afternoon off so I can rest.* The dr said to get lots of fluids and take 3 advil every 8 hrs with food, and come back if I get worse or if I'm not better in 48 hours.

I'm going to try to get in to the doctor today, but I'm getting worried in the meantime.* Friday morning the back of my neck started aching pretty badly, and that night I had a fever and chills.* Saturday morning the fever was gone but I could not move my head.* Fever came back Saturday night and hasn't gone away.* Saturday night I woke up in the middle of the night in so much pain that I couldn't move at all and almost had SU take me to the ER.* I took an advil and a long very hot shower and finally got back to sleep.* My neck felt so much better yesterday morning, only to get worse in the afternoon.* Last night I woke up and my left hand was totally numb.* I was half asleep so I thought maybe I had been laying on it, but when I woke up this morning it was numb again and I definitely wasn't laying on it.* I've been up for half an hour and most of the numbness is gone, but not all.* I can only move my head a little bit.

I was thinking pinched nerve, but that wouldn't include a fever. *Sorry you're feeling under the weather. *Go see your Doc right away!

I wouldn't want to offer a guess, but severe neck pain and partial numbness could be signs of something serious. Please see a doctor as soon as possible(ER if you have to) and I hope it isn't anything serious.

not going to guess...but a fever and stiff neck can be symptoms of something very serious....go to the emergency room if you can't get and appointment today.

If you have an accompanying rash then it could well be meningitis
