I live not far from Atlantic City ( Unfortunately. I don't really like Atlantic City ). In an effort to build up tourism, the "masterminds" have come up with this preposterous idea:
Bring back the Diving Horses. Are you kidding me??? As if it wasn't bad and cruel enough back in the 20's and through to 1978 they want to bring it BACK???
I am appalled. I really hope this pathetic and desperate plan is not approved. This is the 21st century for crying out loud! Have we not evolved even a little bit??
This would be a huge inhumane step backward. Atlantic City is going from bad to worse.

Unbelievable! So basically he admits it is controversial and wrong but it's all good because of the $$ it will bring. What a douche.

Yet another example of why I hate people. They think nothing of exploiting those poor horses and I don't give a damn how "good" they are supposedly treated. It is abuse!

I am outraged! I just can't believe in this day and age they would propose this assinine idea. It is blatant animal abuse and cruelty. And don't tell me that the horses "LIKE" jumping from 40 feet up into a 12 foot tank of water, like some of the comments made from previous riders of these poor horses. That is bullshit!
It's all about the effing money. Well guess what Atlantic City? If you morons go through with this "brilliant" plan, you will piss more people off than not and those people, including myself, will boycott your sorry-ass town and never spend another dime there! The pier owners know it's wrong, yet they still want to bring it back. Dexter Dogg is right, what a douche.

I agree with you, Dave. What a douche. It's all about the money. I hope someone has some common sense in that town & does not allow this to go forward. Yet another example of exploiting poor animals to make a buck. Disgraceful! I hope, if they do this, people will boycott Atlantic City.

I seem to remember watching a movie about this years ago. I agree that it's horrible. You wouldn't think they would even consider it.

I once went to see the jumping mule at the Tunbridge fairgrounds. We sat in anticipation as she brought out the mule, she set up the hurdle it was supposed to jump.....she led him up to it......and nothing. He never jumped it....LOL She said sometimes he feels like it and sometimes he doesn't.....LOL
