Jon Stewart on Mitt's 'Very Poor' Gaffe
Daily Show host Jon Stewart was shocked – shocked! – by Mitt Romney's latest gaffe – saying, during an interview on CNN, that he's "not concerned about the very poor," because they can fall back on our nation's wonderful social safety net. Stewart had a spot-on analogy: "It's like a doctor saying, 'I'm not concerned about the very healthy, because they're fine, or the very sick because, you know, morphine.'" To try to make sense of "Romney's apparent conflation of the very rich and very poor," Stewart invited correspondents Jason Jones and John Oliver to each represent one of the two classes. We need to know how he defines "very poor". Could be anyone worth less than $10 million.

I don't care what religion you practice, I just don't want to pay for it.
Obama has his campaign, taken out of context, sound bite. Handed right to him.
very poor could be all of us before long
Don't ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion.

The DNC already had 900 taken out of context sound bites they were going to use. Now they have 901. The RNC has the same.
This is simply fodder for the Daily Show and the like, and it's not like they were going to be even-handed to start with, so what's the difference?
Lots of people will argue that this just furthers the narrative that Romney is out of touch with poor people. Well of course he is, he's a gazillionaire. So is everybody else who wants to be president.

One tuckered pooch!
Politicians and diapers should be changed frequently and all for the same reason.

There I fixed it Di.
Besides them being full of fecal matter, both sides, it's amazing how many think this or that one is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well their favorite politician isn't really great and btw neither is sliced bread. Now wonder where in such a mess, everyone is eating Wonder bread and it made them stupid.
Them that don't know him won't like him
And them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different but his pride won't let him
Do the things that make you think he's right
