After being betrayed and betrayed by the humans in her life -- a term I use loosely -- Edie trusted one more time. And hit the jackpot. To see her go from paralyzing terror to submitting to a bellyrub in only a few moments is a true testimony to how wonderful these animals are...

...and how absoutely undeserving we are, at times, as a society, of their adoration.
