Just got an invite today.. Never been to any before but this is 40 years!! We are all 56-58.. how did that happen??!! So my question is have any of you attented any or all of your school reunions and how did it go!!?? I want to attend and think we all grew up, have gone thru life's up's and downs and will love each other in this 40 year gap.. Yes or No??!!
I went to my 20th (I think it was 20, maybe 15), and the 35th is this year. I did not really like it before, but was curious how some people looked and turned out. I do not have any particular desire to go this year. I was not a popular person in high school, so did not have a lot of good friends. Despite the class being small, I am sure many would not remember me.
With Facebook, I can look into anyone's life that I want to. So the past week or so I have been looking people up on Facebook, and sent friend request to a few (I do not use my real name on Facebook, so I have to message them to request)!

This year will be my 30th but I'm not going. Haven't gone to any of the others, either. Just zero interest in seeing anybody I haven't bothered with in three decades.
I do know some people love it, though. I'm getting hounded to show up by people on facebook who barely spoke to me for four years but now seem to think it won't be the same if I'm not there. People are very selective about what they remember.

My 30th is this summer. Never been to one and don't really plan on starting now.

I went to the 25th and the 30th, missed the 35th because I was out of town. Enjoyed both, but had went to Rita's 25th with her. Rumors I heard was true, all the ones for the most part who were the snobbish ones who thought they were better than anyone else weren't there. A lot were folks I sorta knew in school but we were a big class of about 600 and the 30th was maybe 1/4th of us. I'll go to the 40th if it's not a weekend when I'm out of town.

This year will be my 46th, and I have never been to one. I was married and pregnant for the 5 year reunion and didn't want to travel. Was living in Hawaii for the 10th and couldn't make it. By the 15th, I had lost track of the few friends I had. We do go to my husbands now that we have moved back to his hometown.

I went to my 25th. This October will be the 50th. It will be a two-day event. About a dozen+ gals have been getting together for lunch the past couple of years so it's not like I won't recognize anybody when the time rolls around, lol. I'm looking forward to it.

I went to my 10th a few years ago...and discovered that most of the people I didn't like in high school, I still don't like.
And our reunion was on a yacht in Boston Harbor...so I couldn't just leave.
I was stuck on a boat with a bunch of people I didn't like 10 years ago, and still didn't like that night.
I went to my 10th--it was pretty boring. The same cliques gathered together and ignored everyone else. (they all live in the same town, I live out of state now.) I went to my SU's 10th and had a blast. I haven't been back to any of the others. I haven't had contact with any of these people since high school so have no desire to go.
Does this boat make my butt look big?
I went to my 5, 10, 20 and 25th and loved them all. We were a big class as well (over 600) and have managed to have as many as 550 (the 5 year) and still had 300 at the 25th.
I think it's fun to catch up and get see how people have changed over the years.
Some people that I was "friends" with in high school I could care less about however, through these events, I've developed some true friendships with people I wasn't close with back then.
It's one night... I say GO!
