Default First hike of the year

I've been wanting to get back out and hiking 4ever! Today it was 65 out and felt like a nice Spring day. SO instead of going to the gym I went to the trails! It was a small hike but I didn't want to push myself(or Bentley and the other people with me) to hard. i took bentley,my sister and my aunt with me,also. Tomorrow I will be taking Tank. I had a head ache today and did NOT feel like hearing him barking for 10 minutes. Anyone want to join me tomorrow?

Some pics(I have been in pic overload on here lately, sorry)
Is that big foot? (I watched finding big foot last night and was laughing through the whole things)

    Hurry mom!

This is a 30-40 ft drop and the first year we had Tank he ran down there and ended up tumbling down! I was freaking telling my mom to call the fire department and I was making the situation worse. Tank though was fine and playing down in the creek! We walked down a little way and found a way to get him out. He sure does have an angel watchin out for him

I leashed Bentley while going over it and he wanted to be just like his "big brother"

I've been doing the same thing. The gym gets so boring this time of year and I'm stuck inside so much during the week, that I bought myself a daypass to all the local state parks and I've been spending an hour a day hiking. I haven't taken the dogs yet, though. It's been so warm here that the rattlesnakes are out early and we're not all up to date on our vaccines yet.

I hate snakes!!! I'm glad there are not many poisonous snakes in Central Illinois.

Sounds like fun Deidra! I'm going hiking this Saturday, but sadly won't be taking the dogs. They don't do well for that long in the cold anymore. It stinks.

I do think there's a squatch in those woods! LOL! My husband and son used to watch Finding Bigfoot, I say that to them all of the time.

Looks like a great place to hike. Bauer always has the "Hurry mom" look on his face too when we are out in the woods. He will stop, look at me (and I swear sometimes he even rolls his eyes), run back, circle me and take off again.

I'm sure Bentley had a great time!!

That's funny Debi, the town I live in is known for sasquatch sightings! If you google Rockton, PA, you will get lots of articles and stories. I think there's a new one going on now actually.

That is too funny and I really want to go to Over the Mountain now! The owner:
"ONLY ON ROCKTON MOUNTAIN!!! IN THE LAST FEW DAYS - JUST OFF RT 322- NOT ONE - BUT FOUR TO FIVE PEOPLE-IN TWO DIFFERENT GROUPS - TWO DIFFERENT DAYS - HAVE SEEN A VERY LARGE – DARK - HAIRY CREATURE WALKING AND RUNNING THROUGH THE WOODS - THEY THINK THEY SAW "BIGFOOT" - I JUST GOT DONE TALKING TO A COUPLE THAT SAW "HIM" - THEY ARE DEAD SERIOUS - THEY SAW "HIM" AT 2AM JAN 1 - THEY ASSURE ME THEY WERE NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANYTHING - THEY HAD THEIR TODDLER WITH THEM AND WERE NOT DRINKING - HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD AN EXPERENCE? LET ME KNOW"
When my husband and son used to watch the show, my son was convinced that he could find a Sasquatch (although I don't think he knew he would only have to go to PA). To be fair, he was also convinced that he could break into the pawn business, make a lot of money off abandoned storage facilities, and be a competitive barbecuer. If he watched Toddlers & Tiaras or The Real Housewives, he would probably think he could win pageants and marry a millionaire. I'm glad he's off the reality tv kick.
