This was a local story here, I think about a month ago. The dog rescue was great, the mother getting killed - not so much

Really tragic.

A woman was out jogging with her dog on a Sunday and was killed by a drunken driver. The dog freaked out and took off (understandably) leading to the water rescue of the dog.

How awful! The link I found didn't have details about the dog or how it got in the water. Damn drunk drivers! Why does it seem them never kill themselves, but some innocent person?
